Canonization of Mother Teresa to be set March 15

In December, after months of anticipation, the miracle allowing for the canonization of Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta was approved by the Vatican. Speculation about the canonization had been growing for months. Today it was announced that Pope Francis will sign a decree authorizing Mother's canonization on March 15. Vatican Radio reports:
Pope Francis will hold an ordinary public consistory of cardinals in the Vatican March 15, during which he will sign the decree for the canonization of Blessed Mother Teresa of Kolkata and four others.  The dates and venue  of their sainthood ceremony are expected to be declared at the consistory.  Pope Francis had officially cleared Blessed Mother Teresa for sainthood on Dec. 17, 2015, recognizing the miraculous healing through her intercession of a Brazilian man with multiple brain abscesses.   Mother Teresa was conferred the title Blessed in Rome, Italy, on October 19, 2003, after Pope St. John Paul II recognized  the miraculous healing of an Indian woman with a tumour in her abdomen.
Although the date for the canonization has yet to be confirmed, many observers believe the ceremony could take place on September 5, the 9th anniversary of her death. Here is a prayer invoking Mother Teresa's intercession:

Prayer for the Intercession of Blessed Mother Teresa

Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Jesus, you made Blessed Teresa an example,
of humility, charity and selflessness.
She taught us that every human life
has value and dignity.
May we follow her in heeding
Your cry of thirst from the Cross,
and in loving the poorest of the poor.
Grant us, by her intercession,
and according to Your will,
the graces we implore...,
hoping that she will soon be
numbered among Your saints.

We ask this in Your name,
through the intercession of Mary,
Your Mother and the Mother of us all. Amen.
