Saint Charles Lwanga on Confessing the Cross

Saint Charles Lwanga and Companions, also known as the Ugandan Martyrs, are the first Christian martyrs of Sub-Saharan Africa. Lwanga was burned to death for his Catholic faith. The following quote illustrates his deep devotion to Christ.

Prayer in Honor of St. Charles Lwanga and Companions

Eternal Father, I wish to honour St Charles Lwanga and Companions and I give You thanks for all the graces You have bestowed on them. I ask You to please increase grace in my soul through the merits of these saints, and I commit the end of my life to them by this special prayer, so that by virtue of Your goodness, St Charles Lwanga and Companions might intercede for me at that hour. Amen.
