October's blog of note is Catholic Sacristan . Established in 2011, the site is "an oasis of truth, goodness & beauty in the desert of the world wide web." Focusing on the transcendentals of being — each transcending the limitations of time and place, as the objective properties of all that exists, Catholic Sacristan presents the Catholic Church as the fullness of truth. It's mission statement explains the blog's raison d'être: Why an oasis? An oasis is a pool of refreshing water in an otherwise bleak landscape. The "water" offered here is often drawn from other wells (blogs, websites) that offer safe drinking water. If the water here presented contains elements foreign to the Catholic Faith, then the blog-keeper will always defer to the Magisterium and remove or modify content that does not accurately present the true, the good and the beautiful as conserved in the Church's Apostolic Tradition. September's blog of note is Catholic in My Write Mind — one Catholic writer vs. the post Christian culture . It is the creation of writer, publisher and Catholic apologist, Felix Whelan; who lives with his wife, Carol Ann, daughter, Kate and son, Conner, in rural Missouri alongside twenty or so dogs, cats, chickens, sheep and goats on their one acre farm. Rejecting society's increasingly secular proscriptions; Felix blogs about culture, creativity and all things Catholic. August's blog of note ceased publication in December 2014. The New Theological Movement emanated from the minds of Father Ryan Erlenbush and a fellow diocesan priest who was the site's webmaster. Despite it's inactive status, The New Theological Movement Blog emanates from the minds of Father Ryan Erlenbush and a fellow diocesan priest who is the site's webmaster. NTM is a treasure trove of theological commentary, apologetics, scriptural exegesis and more. From the About page: "The aim of this blog, first and foremost, is to write for the benefit of the Catholic faithful and clergy. We will try to make the articles neither too academic such that they would belong in a theologically technical publication, nor merely 'popular.'" Fr. Erlenbush describes his method of theological interpretation thusly: " The Catechism of the Catholic Church is 'the sure norm of truth' to which we will remain faithful. Msgr. Charles Pope Monsignor Charles Pope, a Catholic priest in Washington, D.C., who is a popular blogger and noted homilist was recently blocked from using the social media site Facebook. Facebook says it prefers its users assume their "everyday names" so that people recognize who they’re communicating with. Monsignor Charles Pope has held his title in the Catholic Church for 10 years. (Monsignor is an honorific form of address granted to individuals who have rendered valuable service to the Church.) Msgr. Pope was surprised when Facebook told him, after six years using the social-networking service, they didn’t think he was using his real name. Last year, Facebook apologized to those in the gay community who were blocked due to the "real name" policy wherein Facebook chief product officer Chris Cox said the following: I want to apologize to the affected community of drag queens, drag king, transgender, and extensive community of our friends, neighbors, an
